A BIG DOSE OF SANITY !
In the year 2000 I radically changed my daily, or almost daily, exercise regime at the insistence of
a very good friend who is an Osteopath – he’d been treating my piano players back for ages. At the time I was jogging for an hour 5 -6 mornings weekly and absolutely addicted to it, so it came as a shock when he threatened not to continue treating me unless I changed to power walking instead. Boo ! Hiss ! I thought about changing to a different Osteopath, stubborn person I am, but sanity prevailed, and Power Walking was the new regime. I had just had my 60th birthday. It, the Power Walking, seemed to be slow and boring for quite some time, until the idea of repeating affirmations in the style taught by Emile Coue occured. All Emile Coue’s affirmations start with EVERY DAY IN PERFRECT WAYS I BECOME…………. RICHER, HAPPIER, SLIMMER, TALLER, ETC Repeat several times daily. Great fun if you’re walkingn alone but it’s better to remain silent in company. It could turn you into an anti-social person quite easily. GRATITUDE – A NEW MEANING FOR ME.
The chapter which grabbed my attention immediately was the one on gratitude which I played and replayed constantly. It was released as an E book with a down load of a narration in MP 3 format, and at times I was able to read and listen simultaneously. Really gets the message through using the read / listen style of study. After years of
repeating affirmations, it was quite a traumatic about face due to The Secret Law of Attraction’s insistence on not repeating phrases over and over, but to firstly CONCENTRATE on expressing GRATITUDE. So…………… how do I go about doing this ? Firstly, I had no idea of the things for which I was grateful, so a series of meditations, and discussions with some of my spiritual friends had me realising I had a huge list of items for which I am grateful. A LIGHTGLOBE MOMENT ! Next step was to write the list, memorise it and use it.
WHAT IS DOING MY GRATITUDES ?
What it comes down to is simple in the extreme. Each morning on my Power Walk I express aloud, with absolute sincerity, all the things for which I feel GRATITUDE. How simple is that ? In case you the reader want to get started, and are unsure of what you should express, please allow me to share some of mine with you.

My employers for giving me an outlet for my music and my earnings.
